Aahat TV Show was started in 1995 on Sony Entertainment Television and since then five seasons of aahat has been telecasted. But I personally feel that first season of Aahat was excellent. No other season can compete with first season. When aahat was started it was more suspense thriller than horror. The starting episodes were murder mystery with twist ending. B. P. Singh is the director of AAHAT. Many leading actors/actresses of the indian film industry has acted in the show namely Om Puri, Mandira bedi, Kanwaljeet singh,Arun bali,Tom Alter,Ahmed Khan, Vijay Kashyap, Ashutosh Rana, Shivaji Satham, Virendra Saxena, Navni Parihar and many more.

I dont think it has lost charm, Aahat 4 is much much better than 2nd and 3rd season, I too initially felt that 3 people solving case is the bad idea but now I am enjoying the way they handle the case. Season 1 (5 October 1995 – 2001)
Aahat started with 30 minutes of air time and with an average of 20-22 minutes of running time.This very first season of Aahat was premiered on 5 October 1995. It was telecast on every Thursday at 10 PM IST, later shifted on every Friday at 10:30 PM IST. This season format consisted of half-hour episodes, with each story being split across two episodes. Earlier the stories were based on suspense and thriller than horror. The episodes were full of murder mystery with twist ending.
Many actors and actresses of the Indian film industry have been acted like: Shivaji Satam, Om Puri, Mandira Bedi, Ashutosh Rana, and many more. In the year 2001, the series was renamed to Aahat: Dahshat Ke 6 Saal due to its completion of 6 years. This season was ended in 2001. There was a complete of more than 250 episodes.
Season 2 (19 November 2004 – 10 June 2005)
Aahat 2 started with 30 minutes of air time and with an average of 18-20 minutes of running time.After the successful completion of more than 250 episodes of the season 1, Aahat 2 was telecast on 19 November, 2004 at 9 PM IST on every Friday.[2] The season than later shifted at 9:30 PM IST in March 2005. The episode format of this season remained the same just like the season 1. The first episode of this season was 13 Miles (Part-1). Ansha Sayed has also worked in this series in the stories “Living With a Knife Part-1” and “Living With a Knife Part-2” on 25 February 2005 and 4 March 2005 respectively. Currently, she is acting as a CID officer, in the most popular Indian television series C.I.D.. Urmila Matondkar had made a special appearance in the episodes “Daheshat Part-1” and “Daheshat Part-2” on 20 May and 27 May 2005 respectively to promote her Bollywood film Naina (2005 film).[3] This season was ended on 10 June 2005. There was a complete of 28 episodes.

Season 3 (13 January 2007 – May or June 2007)
Aahat: Dahshat Ki Teesri Dastak started with 60 minutes of air time and with an average of 35-41 minutes of running time.After successfully completing more than 250 episodes, the third season was titled as Aahat: Dahshat Ki Teesri Dastak which was broadcast on 13 January 2007 on every Saturday at 10 PM IST.[4] The show was packed with double thrill, as the episodic format was also changed from half an hour to 1 hour episode, each story being covered in a single episode. But, the show remained weekly, which was telecast on every Saturday. The genres of the show also remained constant that are: horror, suspense and thriller. The first episode of the season was “Rooh”. The season was ended in May or June 2007. There was a complete of 21 episodes.
Season 4 (13 November 2009 – 26 June 2010)
Aahat: All New Series started with 60 minutes of air time and with an average of 25-50 minutes of running time.The fourth season was called Aahat: All New Series, which premiered on 13 November 2009 and telecast on every Friday and Saturday at 11 PM IST.[5] Though the episode format was same as of season 3, yet each story was being split across two episodes. It stars Chaitanya Choudhury as Harsh, Krystle D’Souza as Yamini and Vishal Gandhi as Raghav, playing the permanent lead who are blessed with special powers but are unaware of it. They work for PASAR (Paranormal and supernatural activities research) where the head is Durjan, an old man who collects power from the spirits for his boss. He has passed his whole life doing this work and in each episode he gives Harsh, Yamini and Raghav a new assignment.
The season had three C.I.D.-Aahat crossover episodes in total, where the events of C.I.D. continued into Aahat. The first crossover episode was the first episode of this season “Khajan Mail” which was telecasted on 13 November 2009. Then on 12 February 2010, there was another C.I.D. – Aahat crossover episode “Darr”.[7] On 25 June 2010, another crossover episode “Shaitaani Khat” was broadcast. The season ended on 26 June 2010. There was a complete of 66 episodes with 33 stories.
Season 5 (28 June 2010 – 25 November 2010)
Aahat 5 was started with 30 minutes of air time and with an average of 22-28 minutes of running time.The season premiered on 28 June 2010 at 10:30 PM IST. This season was aired 4 days a week on every Monday-Thursday at 10:30 PM IST. The storyline of Aahat which was earlier focusing on three main characters Chaitanya Choudhury, Vishal Gandhi and Krystle D’Souza were not seen any more, instead the story track is assumed to get more thriller based and horror centric in this season.

The season started with the first episode Shaitaani Aaina. Every week there were two stories with two episodes each, and a new story was telecast on every Monday and Wednesday, and the remaining parts of each story was telecast on every Tuesday and Thursday. There were no concluding parts of the stories “Khooni Kamra” and “Maut Ka Mehmaan”. On 20 September 2010, there was a featured 16-episodes of the story Maut Ka Khel – the 15-years of Aahat celebration story, wherein 12 noted celebrities lived in a 200 year old haunted house fighting against all the horror stricken odds.[9] This story was aired on every Monday-Thursday at 11 PM IST, not at 10:30 PM IST and ended on 14 October 2010. Jimmy Shergill had made a special appearance in the episodes “A Flat Part I” and “A Flat Part II” on 25 October 2010 and 26 October 2010 respectively to promote his bollywood film A Flat (2010).[10] The season ended on 25 November 2010, due to the decrease in TRP ratings of this show.[11] Repeat episodes were telecast on 1 – 4 November 2010 (Monday-Thursday at 11 PM IST)
